Southeast Asia & Central Asia

Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Central Asian states. These regions are the strictest on halal recognition: Malaysia (JAKIM) and Indonesia (BPJPH) each recognise only listed certification bodies, and what our factories hold today is domestic certification.

Requirements are the operating checklist we work to with buyers in each market. Your importer or customs broker has the final say on filing.

What your market requires

  • Halal recognition is the crux: JAKIM and BPJPH recognise only listed bodies — confirm before ordering whether your market accepts a domestic certificate.
  • Label language per country (Bahasa is common in Malaysia and Indonesia).
  • For Central Asia, note the customs-union / EAC marking requirements where applicable.

Documents that ship with the goods

  • Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin
  • Health certificate, batch COA, factory domestic halal certificate

Buyer questions for this market

Can you get JAKIM recognition?+

Not off the shelf. It requires assessing the certification route, cost and timeline per item; we give you that judgement at the inquiry stage instead of after a deposit.
